The team
The Enforcement and Legal team plays a vital role in helping The Pensions Regulator deliver its corporate strategy and achieve better outcomes for pension scheme members. Acting as trusted strategic partners, the team brings specialist legal, enforcement and intelligence expertise into multidisciplinary work across TPR. They help shape complex decisions by assessing risk, ensuring actions are intelligence-led and legally robust, and considering enforcement options from the outset. Working collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation, the team uses data, insight and early engagement to focus on the issues that matter most, identify and address risks early, and support a more outcome-focused, risk-based approach to regulation. Through clear, proportionate and effective action, they help build trust, strengthen the pensions system, improve scheme governance and support TPRs strategic objectives.
