We are seeking a skilled and reliable Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various projects. Candidates should possess a solid understanding of electrical principles, be proficient with hand tools and power tools, and have relevant electrical experience.
Duties
- Install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in accordance with safety standards and regulations
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform repairs efficiently to minimise downtime
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Ensure all work complies with current electrical codes and safety procedures
- Use hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, wire strippers, and multimeters to carry out tasks accurately
- Operate power tools including drills, saws, and other specialised equipment safely
- Collaborate with other tradespeople and project managers to complete projects on time and within budget
- Document work performed and report any issues or discrepancies promptly
Experience
- Proven experience as an Electrician or in a similar role within the construction or maintenance industry
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, safety standards, and building codes
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools essential for electrical work
- Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams effectively
- Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent are preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues efficiently
- Good organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
