Location: Hull
Salary: £14.00 per hour
Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:00am – 3:30pm, Friday 7:00am – 2:30pm (30-minute unpaid lunch each day)
Contract: Temporary – 10 Weeks (Potential Permanent Opportunity)
Gateway Chassis Solutions is looking for an experienced and safety-conscious FLT Operator (B1 Counterbalance) to join our busy manufacturing team on an initial 10-week contract, with the possibility of a permanent position for the right candidate.
Working within a fast-paced production environment, you will play a key role in ensuring our production lines are supplied with materials efficiently and safely, helping to keep operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Loading production lines with materials in a timely manner
- Transporting steel and other materials throughout the factory
- Loading and unloading deliveries
- Supporting production teams to maintain workflow and minimise downtime
- Carrying out daily FLT safety checks
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and safety
- Working in line with company health and safety procedures at all times
About You
- Hold a valid B1 Counterbalance FLT licence
- Previous experience operating FLTs within a manufacturing environment
- Experience handling steel products or similar heavy materials
- Experience handling long and awkward loads is advantageous
- Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Strong awareness of workplace safety
- Reliable, hardworking and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Flexible approach and willingness to support operational requirements
