About the role
We’re looking for a proactive and highly organised Policy and Administration Officer to support Apatura’s Grid Team. Acting as the support of team operations, you’ll coordinate key activities, manage communications and documentation, and ensure colleagues stay up to date with the latest industry policies and guidance. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of major energy infrastructure projects while working at the heart of a fast-paced and collaborative team.
What you’ll be doing
- Coordinate and organise internal and external meetings, including scheduling, minute taking, action tracking, and maintaining accurate records in line with company procedures.
- Act as a key point of contact for external stakeholders, building effective relationships with organisations across the energy industry.
- Monitor and manage team actions and tasks, ensuring deadlines are met and follow-up activities are completed efficiently.
- Keep the Grid Team informed of the latest industry, policy, and regulatory developments by attending webinars and sharing key updates and insights.
- Promote relevant industry events, webinars, and conferences, ensuring colleagues are aware of opportunities to engage with the sector.
- Undertake routine and ad hoc follow-up activities with external parties to help maintain project progress and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Manage shared inboxes and provide high-quality administrative support to the Grid Team.
- Maintain and organise project documentation, industry publications, reports, and other key information within company record management systems.
- Support information gathering and stakeholder engagement activities, including preparing and submitting requests for information to industry bodies and partners as required.
What we’re looking for
- Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Administrative skills and a high level of attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint.
- Experience in an administrative, policy support, coordination, or project support role.
- Collaborative working across teams and building positive relationships with external stakeholders.
- Document management and information organisation skills.
- An interest in and understanding of the renewable energy sector and infrastructure projects.
Desirable
- Knowledge of grid connections and the UK electricity industry
- Experience supporting renewable energy, utilities, infrastructure, or engineering projects.
- Administrative or Office Management certification (e.g. ILM Level 3 or equivalent).
- Project support or project coordination training, such as APM Fundamentals or a similar qualification.
