Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Person to join our team and help us maintain a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment for our residents and staff. The successful candidate will be required to carry out a wide range of maintenance tasks around the home. The Maintenance Person will play a vital part in maintaining safety standards by carrying out weekly and monthly checks ensuring all aspects of our home are safe , well maintained and compliant. Candidates must possess a positive attitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Wage depends on skill and experience.
Duties
- Perform regular inspections of the building, equipment, and grounds to identify maintenance issues
- Carry out routine weekly and monthly safety checks around the home.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and management.
- Arrange and supervise external contractors when required, ensuring work is completed safely and to the required standard.
- Ensure tools, equipment, and maintenance stores are kept clean, organised, and secure.
- Assist with room preparation, furniture assembly, and minor alterations as required.
- Promote a positive, professional, and respectful approach when interacting with residents, relatives, visitors, and colleagues.
Pay: From £14.00 per hour
