An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Private Client Solicitor or CILEx Lawyer to join the growing Private Client team of a well-established law firm.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced Private Client professional to take responsibility for a full caseload of Wills, Probate and estate administration matters, working alongside a friendly and supportive team of legal professionals.
The successful candidate will play an important role within the department, providing high-quality legal advice and delivering an excellent service to clients throughout their matters.
The Role
You will manage a varied caseload of Private Client matters, with responsibilities including:
- Drafting Wills and preparing Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs)
- Advising clients on Wills, estate planning and taxation
- Advising clients on LPAs and their implications
- Setting up new client accounts and matters
- Dealing with client enquiries both in person and by telephone
- Handling and processing securities and deeds
- Managing Probate and estate administration matters
- Advising on matters involving Income Tax, Inheritance Tax and Capital Gains Tax
- Providing clear, practical and sympathetic advice to clients
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring matters are progressed efficiently
About You
To be considered for this position, you'll ideally have:
- 2–4 years' PQE or equivalent relevant experience
- Previous experience within Private Client law
- Strong knowledge of non-contentious Private Client matters
- Experience handling Wills, LPAs and Probate/estate administration
- Good knowledge of relevant legal practice and procedure
- A professional and sympathetic approach to client care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to manage your own caseload efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
