We are seeking a dedicated Part Time Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team. Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients
- Support chefs and kitchen staff in cooking and plating dishes as required
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workstations and utensils
- Ensure adherence to hygiene standards and health & safety regulations
- Restock supplies and ingredients to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Assist with washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and waste disposal
- Support serving staff during meal service periods when needed
- Follow all safety procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or hospitality is desirable but not essential
- Knowledge of restaurant or hotel kitchen operations is advantageous
- Basic understanding of hygiene standards and safety procedures in a kitchen environment
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work part-time hours, including evenings or weekends if required
