Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fabricator/Welder to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components, ensuring precision and quality in all work. Duties
- Perform g processes on various metals, including sheet metal and structural components.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal parts according to technical drawings and specifications.
- Fabricate components from raw materials, ensuring adherence to dimensions and quality standards.
- Assist in the assembly of fabricated parts into finished products or structures.
- Conduct inspections of welds and fabricated components for defects or inconsistencies, making necessary adjustments or repairs.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring all safety protocols are followed during fabrication and welding activities.
- Collaborate with team members to optimise fabrication processes and improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment such as shears, grinders, and drills.
- Knowledge of sheet metal work, assembly techniques, and mechanical principles.
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
- Mechanical knowledge with an understanding of material properties and welding safety practices.
- Prior experience in fabrication or manufacturing environments is desirable but not essential; training will be provided where necessary.
- Strong attention to detail, organisation skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
