Job Summary
We are hiring an experienced roof Solar Installer for installing solar power systems on commercial, industrial and public sites. The candidate must be reliable, have at least 2 years experience, read drawings, have mechanical aptitude, electrical knowledge, and proficiency with various tools, to drive successful installations and contribute to a successful completion of the project.
The project is for two weeks, with further opportunity for being hired on a full-time contract for successful candidates.
Duties
- Safely assemble and install solar panel arrays according to the drawings, using hand tools and power tools, ensuring all components are securely mounted and aligned.
- Connect electrical wiring and components following drawings, electrical codes and safety standards to ensure system efficiency and safety.
Experience
- At least 2 years of prior experience with solar panel installation or related renewable energy projects is required.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, and measuring devices.
- Familiarity with power tools including drills, saws, and grinders to facilitate efficient installation work.
- Mechanical knowledge related to structural supports, mounting systems, and electrical components.
- Electrical experience or background in electrical systems preferable, to ensure safe and compliant installations.
Pay: £20.00-£25.00 per hour
