PCN Accountants Limited is a growing and client-focused accountancy practice committed to delivering high-quality accounting, taxation, and business advisory services. We are looking for an experienced, motivated, and detail-oriented Accountant to join our professional team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns.
- Prepare corporation tax, self-assessment tax returns, and other tax compliance work.
- Manage bookkeeping using cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage.
- Prepare management accounts and financial reports.
- Reconcile bank accounts and maintain accurate financial records.
- Liaise with HMRC and clients regarding tax and accounting matters.
- Assist clients with financial queries and provide professional advice.
- Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards and relevant tax legislation.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience in an accountancy practice.
- Strong knowledge of UK accounting and taxation.
- Experience preparing year-end accounts and tax returns.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- ACCA, ACA, or AAT qualified/part-qualified is desirable but not essential.
- Bachelors degree is essential
