Our team currently works from the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays, giving everyone the opportunity to spend time together, collaborate and stay connected. On the remaining three days, you have the flexibility to choose whether you’d prefer to work from home or from the office, depending on what works best for you and your role.
We’re committed to supporting a flexible and positive working environment, while also making sure we continue to meet the needs of our clients and the wider business. As our business evolves, we may occasionally need to review our working arrangements, but our aim is to maintain this flexibility wherever possible.
The team must attend the company’s offices for training, internal meetings, client meetings and if requested to do so by the Directors.
Benefits package
Ø Salary £32,000 - £36,500 per annum depending on experience.

Holiday entitlement
28 days inclusive of bank holidays. Additional 1 day per full calendar year of service up to a maximum of 33 days inclusive of bank holidays.
Reporting requirements
This position reports to the Finance Director.
Principle objectives and key responsibilities
Geared towards someone with experience in bookkeeping, finance administration or recruitment back office operations.
The key responsibilities of the role can be summarised as follows:
Ø To build and maintain excellent relationships with all clients.
Ø To have used Xero and be competent with all areas of the system.
Ø Maintaining accurate accounting records and ledgers, which includes daily, weekly and monthly bookkeeping requirements across the client portfolio.
Ø To assist with client credit control and invoice finance platform maintenance.
Ø To efficiently manage shared mailboxes and respond to client enquiries professionally.
Ø Carry out bank, control account and balance sheet reconciliations.
Ø Prepare and submit VAT returns and assisting with other statutory requirements.
Ø Payroll queries – be able to handle all queries relating to wages, deductions and timesheets
Ø Statutory pay and deductions – being able to handle SSP, SMP and SPP
Ø To assist the payroll team with the preparation of weekly, bi-weekly and monthly payrolls.
Ø To build and maintain excellent relationships with all clients
Experience required
Whilst not desirable, previous experience in the recruitment sector is advantageous. The successful candidate must however be competent with the responsibilities listed above.

We’re looking for someone who is organised, approachable and enjoys working with people. You’ll be someone who takes pride in their work, communicates well and is happy to take responsibility for managing their own workload, while also being a supportive member of the wider team.

Ø Good IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems where needed.
Ø A calm and positive approach to your work, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure, both independently and as part of a team.
Ø Strong communication skills, with a friendly, professional and respectful manner when dealing with a wide range of people. This will include directors, managers, colleagues, clients, prospective clients and external organisations such as HM Revenue & Customs, Companies House and suppliers.
Ø Good organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to take ownership of your workload, prioritise tasks and ensure that deadlines are met.
Ø A high level of professionalism and integrity, with a genuine commitment to providing a helpful and positive experience for colleagues, clients and everyone you work with.
Ø A team-focused attitude, with a willingness to share ideas, support colleagues and contribute positively to the working environment.

Pay: £32,000.00-£36,500.00 per year
