Food & Beverage Operations Assistant Manager
Location: Bognor Regis

This is a hands-on management position, overseeing multiple food outlets and supporting the wider management team to ensure excellent service, smooth operations and high standards throughout busy trading periods.
The Role
You will be responsible for:
- Supporting the daily operation of a busy food court and its various outlets
- Ensuring all areas are fully prepared, staffed and ready for service
- Managing guest flow and helping reduce queues during busy periods
- Being visible on the floor and stepping in to resolve operational issues
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation and food safety
- Supervising team members and supervisors during shifts
- Leading team briefings and ensuring clear communication
- Supporting rota planning and ensuring staffing levels meet demand
- Coaching and developing team members to improve service and efficiency
- Supporting onboarding and training
- Conducting probation reviews and regular team check-ins
- Handling day-to-day people issues and escalating where necessary
- Dealing with guest queries and complaints professionally
- Using guest feedback to identify areas for improvement
- Supporting labour and staffing cost control
- Assisting with stock ordering, rotation and management
- Monitoring waste and supporting cost-saving initiatives
- Ensuring accurate cash handling and financial procedures
- Supporting promotions and upselling opportunities
- Maintaining food hygiene, allergen and health & safety standards
- Supporting audits, inspections and required compliance checks
- Ensuring team members have the appropriate training and certifications
- Working closely with kitchens, other food and beverage outlets and wider resort teams
- Supporting major events and particularly busy periods
- Deputising for the senior manager when required
About You
We're looking for someone with:
- Previous experience working in a busy, high-volume food service or hospitality environment
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- The ability to work confidently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills
- A hands-on approach with the ability to lead by example
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, Christmas Day and public holidays when required
Desirable Experience & Qualifications
The following would be advantageous:
- Previous experience within a holiday park / large hospitality venue
- Food Safety Level 2 / 3
- Personal Licence, where applicable
- Experience managing rotas and staffing levels
- Previous cash handling and stock control experience
This role would suit an experienced Assistant Manager, F&B Supervisor, Restaurant Supervisor or Hospitality Supervisor who is ready to take on more responsibility within a busy resort environment.
