Overview
We are looking for reliable, hardworking and customer-focused Customer Service Advisors to join our night team at Shell Maghull (L31 0BW)
This is a night-shift role within a busy 24/7 Shell retail environment. The role involves serving customers, maintaining high site standards, replenishing stock, facing up the shop floor, and making sure the store is clean, stocked and ready for the morning team.
The ideal candidate will be someone who can work well independently, takes pride in keeping the shop well presented, and understands the importance of completing night-shift duties properly without close supervision.
Although the main location is Shell Maghull, flexibility to occasionally cover other nearby sites would be helpful.
Duties
- Deliver excellent customer service during night shifts
- Serve customers and operate tills/payment systems accurately
- Keep the shop floor clean, tidy, faced up and fully stocked
- Replenish stock from the stockroom/warehouse, especially drinks, water and key selling lines
- Ensure shelves, chillers and promotional areas are well presented and ready for the morning
- Support with stock rotation, date checking and general stock control
- Assist with cleaning duties and maintaining high site standards
- Keep the forecourt, shop and customer areas safe, tidy and presentable
- Follow all company procedures relating to health and safety, food safety, forecourt safety and customer service
- Work independently and complete night-shift tasks to the required standard
Requirements
- Reliable, punctual and able to work night shifts
- Friendly and professional approach to customers
- Able to work independently and use time effectively
- Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining standards
- Willingness to follow company procedures and complete required training
- Previous retail, forecourt or night-shift experience is helpful but not essential
- Flexibility to occasionally cover other local sites would be an advantage
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own transport would be a strong advantage due to night-shift working and occasional cover at other local sites, but this is not essential.
This role would suit someone who is responsible, practical, and happy to work nights while keeping the site running smoothly and ready for the next day.
