We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic to join our independent workshop team in Faringdon. Moving away from rigid corporate targets, we offer a £36,000–£40,000 basic salary, permanent Monday-to-Friday hours (08:00–17:30, no weekends), and an environment built on genuine technical autonomy and team support.

As a vital Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic in our Faringdon workshop, you will:
- Perform scheduled servicing, routine maintenance, and safety inspections across various vehicle makes and models.

Execute mechanical repairs, component replacements, and major work on suspension, steering, and braking systems.

Apply diagnostic tools to identify, isolate, and repair electrical and mechanical faults cleanly.

Maintain precise job records and keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety guidelines.
- Qualifications & Experience: NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 (or equivalent) in Motor Vehicle Maintenance & Repair with a solid background in fault-finding and mechanical repair. F-Gas certification is preferred.

Licensing: A full UK driving licence is essential. An active MOT Tester licence is preferred but not required.

Equipment: Must possess your own hand tools for daily workshop repair tasks.
