Job Summary
We are seeking a personable Front of House Catering Assistant to join our cafe team. In this role, you will be the welcoming face of our catering service Monday - Friday from 7.30 am - 12 noon (with the potential for more hours as the cafe offer grows). Your communication and interpersonal skills will help create a warm, hospitable environment where food, service, and customer satisfaction are top priorities. Your role will primarily be taking orders, making hot drinks, smoothies and milkshakes.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and assist with their food and beverage needs in a professional manner
- Serve drinks efficiently, ensuring presentation standards are met
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front-of-house area
- Support food safety protocols by adhering to hygiene standards and handling food responsibly
- Take orders accurately and process transactions using point-of-sale systems
Skills
- Previous experience in catering or hospitality environments is highly desirable
- Friendly and approachable demeanour
- Experience working in cafes or similar customer-facing roles is advantageous
- Barista experience or familiarity with coffee-making equipment is a plus
- Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with guests and team members
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude
Pay: £13.50 per hour
