Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Kitchen Team Leader to oversee daily kitchen operations within a dynamic hospitality environment. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service.
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards.
- Manage team schedules, delegate tasks, and motivate staff to achieve operational goals.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across the kitchen.
- Assist in training new team members on food safety, preparation techniques, and service procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and minimise waste.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Support the development of new menu items and improve existing recipes.
- Uphold a positive work environment by fostering teamwork and professional growth.
Experience
- Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen or restaurant setting.
- Extensive background in food production, culinary arts, or hospitality management.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in kitchen hygiene.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
- Experience in food preparation, cooking techniques, and restaurant operations.
- Familiarity with serving procedures and customer service excellence is desirable.
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is preferred but not essential.
