I'm hiring an awesome stylist (Self-Employed)
At The Curl Specialist Bournemouth, I don’t do hairdressing the old way. This is a salon built on one belief: PEOPLE OVER PROFIT.
You don’t need curly hair experience. You don’t need to know your way around a diffuser yet. What you do need is empathy, motivation, and the desire to grow. Because I’ll give you the training.
You'll receive a full starter training schedule to get you to where you’re confident to work with curls on a daily basis and then further ongoing training, two courses a year paid (minimum). Quarterly, paid, personal development days, ongoing (low tox) colour training & support, and free access to social media membership coaching to help you grow your client base. You’ll be supported, and celebrated… Always.
That means no conveyor belts of clients.. You’ll work with one client at a time, giving them the care, attention they deserve and trust me when I say this is one of the most rewarding areas to work in the hair industry, we really are changing peoples lives!
This is a neurodiverse-positive space with flexible hours and a real career progression structure. And yes, it’s self-employed but you’re not on your own. You’ll be joining a growing team that’s changing the salon industry for the better.

I opened the salon because I saw the industry failing too many people. Clients with curls leaving salons with wet hair, no advice, and no confidence. Stylists burning out on minimum wage while being told to squeeze in more and more clients. Students leaving college without ever being taught how to cut textured hair. Neurodiverse people feeling unseen in noisy, overwhelming salon spaces.
I wanted something different and now its time to grow further… we’re expanding! (More details on hours and new venue on application) Within 3 months of opening I became fully booked, the demand is there and I want to create a business that can help more of those people.
All I ask is that you have a minimum level 2 in hairdressing are empathetic, punctual, approachable, have brilliant communication skills, motivated and are open to follow a new way of working in the hairdressing industry.
