Overview
We are seeking a dedicated flexible and reliable Cleaning Operative (part-time) to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who take pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across various commercial premises. The successful candidate will play a vital part in ensuring our clients' environments are safe, clean, and welcoming. Prior experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. This position offers flexible hours suitable for those seeking part-time work as follows:-
Applicant for cleaning sites in and around Arundel and occasionally up to Tangmere.
Car essential.
Regular Day time cleans - 3 hours every fortnight either Wednesday thursday or Friday mornings
plus 2 hours a week either Friday evening or at the weekend and
plus 1 hour twice a week, either tuesday and Thursday or Wednesday and Friday and/or Cover work includes some evenings and early mornings.
Good rates of pay especially for the one hours clean in Yapton and cover work.
Will consider splitting jobs
Duties
- Perform cleaning duties across multiple commercial sites, including offices, retail spaces, and industrial premises.
- Use appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals to maintain cleanliness standards.
- Ensure all areas are hygienic, organised, and presentable at all times.
- Empty bins, dispose of waste responsibly, and replenish supplies as needed.
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to prevent accidents or hazards.
- Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning activities to the supervisor.
- Maintain a professional attitude and ensure confidentiality when working within client premises.
Requirements
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Reliable with good organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
- Ability to work efficiently within allocated timeframes while maintaining quality standards.
- Flexibility to work during scheduled hours, which may include early mornings, evenings, or weekends as required.
- Good communication skills and a professional demeanour.
- Ability to work safely with cleaning chemicals and equipment following health and safety guidelines.
Pay: £12.75-£13.75 per hour
