We’re looking for a Tech Lead who gets what shipping games actually takes. This is not a role for someone who over-engineers, gets stuck in theory, or slows things down waiting for perfection. We want someone hands-on, pragmatic, and decisive!
You should be comfortable making clear calls under pressure, keeping momentum when things get messy, and focusing on “good and shippable” over perfect.
You’ll lead a small team of Engineers while acting as the key technical voice across Production, Technical Leadership, and external co-development partners.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and mentor a small engineering team
- Drive technical direction across gameplay systems, networking, optimisation, and architecture
- Own debugging standards, code quality, and build stability
- Work closely with Production to manage risks, priorities, and delivery
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ship high-quality multiplayer experiences
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years’ games industry experience
- Shipped at least one UE4/UE5 multiplayer title
- Strong C++, Unreal Engine, networking, and optimisation knowledge
- Experience leading Engineers on a project
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Pragmatic mindset with a focus on quality and delivery
