Full-Time | Permanent | Days - 8am-4:30pm Mon-Thurs with 2pm finish on a Friday
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering team in Kidderminster. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our plant by delivering high-quality electrical (and some mechanical) maintenance support.
Working within a safety-critical, ATEX-regulated environment, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving electrical systems and equipment, supporting production uptime, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on plant equipment
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults quickly to minimise downtime
- Work safely in ATEX hazardous areas, ensuring full compliance with regulations
- Maintain and repair ATEX-rated equipment (motors, panels, sensors, instrumentation, cabling)
- Support installation, commissioning, and decommissioning of electrical systems
- Follow LOTO, isolation, and permit-to-work procedures
- Keep accurate maintenance records using CMMS systems
- Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities
- Collaborate with production teams, mechanical engineers, and contractors
- Support site audits, safety inspections, and compliance activities
- Participate in shift work and breakdown/on-call cover
About You
We’re looking for a hands-on, safety-focused engineer with strong fault-finding skills and a proactive mindset.
Essential:
- Completed a recognised Electrical Apprenticeship (Level 3 or equivalent)
- COMPEX certified
- Strong knowledge of electrical safety and safe systems of work
- Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Desirable:
- Multi-skilled (approx. 70% electrical / 30% mechanical)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Basic PLC fault finding (DeltaV experience advantageous)
- Instrumentation experience
- Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
