At Matcon, we're looking for an ambitious and commercially-minded HR Generalist to join our team and play a pivotal role in supporting our people and business objectives. What You'll Be Doing
As our HR Generalist, you'll act as a trusted partner to managers and employees across the business, providing expert guidance and delivering key people initiatives.
Key areas of responsibility include:
Employee Relations and HR Business Partnering
Recruitment, Talent Acquisition and Onboarding
Learning and Development Programmes
Payroll, Benefits and Pension Administration
Performance and Talent Management
Employee Engagement and Wellbeing Initiatives
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Programmes
HR Systems, Data Analytics and Reporting (Workday)
HR Communication and Compliance Activities
You'll utilise people data and employee insights to support workforce planning, improve employee engagement, and help drive organisational effectiveness.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking a proactive and solutions-focused HR professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and building strong stakeholder relationships.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a generalist HR position, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong employee relations experience, managing cases independently through to resolution.
- Experience supporting managers on performance, engagement and organisational change.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience working with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally and discreetly.
- Strong payroll and benefits administration experience.
- Sound knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
Desirable
- CIPD Level 5 qualified (or currently studying).
- Experience supporting multi-site or international operations.
- Involvement in HR projects, process improvements and change initiatives.
