Junior Sous Chef – The Original Rosslyn Inn, Roslin
Salary: £28,000–£33,000 (depending on experience)
Full-time | 40–45 hours per week | 5 days from 7
Ready for the next step in your career?
Are you an experienced Chef de Partie looking to become a Junior Sous Chef? Or perhaps you're already working at Junior Sous level and looking for a fresh opportunity in a supportive, award-winning kitchen?
At The Original Rosslyn Inn, we don't just recruit chefs—we develop them.
This is the first time we've recruited for a chef in over four and a half years. The vacancy has only arisen because one of our valued chefs is returning home to Poland after several successful years with us. We believe that says a lot about the culture we've built and the people who choose to stay.
If you're ambitious, passionate about fresh food and keen to learn from an experienced kitchen team, we'd love to hear from you.
The Role
Working alongside our Head Chef and senior kitchen team, you'll play an important part in delivering consistently high-quality, freshly prepared food.
This is a hands-on role where you'll continue developing your skills while gradually taking on more responsibility as your confidence grows.

- Preparing and cooking fresh food to a consistently high standard.
- Running your section confidently during service.
- Supporting the Sous Chef and Head Chef with daily kitchen operations.
- Learning stock control, ordering and kitchen organisation.
- Helping maintain excellent food hygiene and safety standards.
- Assisting with menu preparation and seasonal specials.
- Working closely with the team to ensure smooth, efficient service.
- Developing your leadership skills with support and mentoring.
We're Looking For Someone Who
- Has experience as a Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef.
- Has a genuine passion for fresh, home-cooked food.
- Wants to learn, improve and progress their career.
- Enjoys working as part of a close-knit team.
- Takes pride in producing consistently high-quality dishes.
- Is reliable, hardworking and has a positive attitude.
- Wants to build a long-term career with an independent family business.
