Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home
Location: Bolton
Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum, depending on experience

Leading Children’s Pathways is recruiting on behalf of a children’s residential provider for an experienced Registered Manager to join a newly registered solo children’s home in Bolton.
The home has recently achieved registration and is currently awaiting the admission of its first young person. An established staff team is already in place, providing an excellent opportunity for an experienced Manager to join the service at an exciting stage in its development.
The Role
As Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the effective day-to-day management of the home, ensuring that children and young people receive high-quality, safe and consistent care.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing strong and effective leadership within the home
- Ensuring the home operates in accordance with the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards
- Maintaining effective oversight of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
- Supporting, supervising and developing the staff team
- Ensuring care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding plans are implemented effectively
- Maintaining high standards of recording, monitoring and quality assurance
- Working collaboratively with social workers, Local Authorities, families and other professionals
- Monitoring outcomes for the young person and ensuring their individual needs remain central to the service
- Maintaining readiness for Ofsted inspections and ensuring regulatory requirements are consistently met
- Promoting a positive, child-centred environment within the home
About You
We are looking for an experienced children’s residential professional with the knowledge, leadership skills and confidence required to successfully manage a solo children’s home.
The successful candidate should have:
- Previous management experience within children’s residential care
- Strong knowledge of the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards
- A good understanding of safeguarding and safer working practices
- Experience leading and supporting residential care teams
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- The ability to work effectively with external professionals and Local Authorities
- A relevant Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or be working towards / willing to complete the appropriate qualification
- The experience and suitability required to undertake the Registered Manager role
Previous experience as a Registered Manager is desirable.
