Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to an elderly lady in Little common, who lives with her husband. The husband does not need personal care but meals will be provided for both. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals requiring care, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This position is ideal for those with a passion for helping others and a desire to make a positive impact in the lives of those they care for.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care services including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure dietary needs are met.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional support.
- Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to relevant healthcare professionals.
- Provide specialised care for clients with dementia or other cognitive impairments as needed.

Skills
- Experience in home care settings is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and first aid practices.
- Ability to provide compassionate care while respecting the dignity of clients.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Experience in nursing homes or similar environments is an advantage.
- Capability to prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements.
- Familiarity with childcare practices may be beneficial when caring for younger clients or families.
- A patient, empathetic nature with the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and effectively.
- Ability and knowledge on how to support individuals with dementia
