Job Overview
We are on the lookout for a motivated and reliable Meat Production Operative to join our busy production team. In this role, you will be an essential part of the process that transforms raw meat into high-quality products ready for distribution. Duties
- Assist in the processing and preparation of meat products following established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Operate machinery and equipment with mechanical knowledge to support efficient production lines.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the workspace, adhering to HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) protocols and food safety regulations.
- Conduct basic math calculations for portioning, weighing, and quality checks to ensure accurate product specifications.
- Support inventory management by recording stock levels, reporting shortages, and assisting with stock rotation.
- Follow all health and safety procedures to create a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets while maintaining high standards of quality.
Experience
- Previous experience in food production or manufacturing is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety practices is preferred.
- Basic mechanical knowledge or experience operating machinery is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Good numeracy skills for weighing, measuring, and recording data accurately.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
