U1R Nurseries are growing again! Following our brilliant Ofsted report, we are looking for an experienced, passionate and inspiring Room Leader to lead our Preschool room.

About the Role:
As a Preschool Room Leader, you will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the room, ensuring outstanding care and education for all children. You will lead, support and inspire your team while creating a nurturing, engaging and stimulating environment.
You will champion a child-led curriculum, encouraging curiosity, independence and a love of learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Preschool room, ensuring high standards of care and education
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework
- Support a child-led approach focused on curiosity, exploration and play
- Monitor, observe and assess children’s development, ensuring accurate records are maintained
- Act as a role model, supporting and mentoring team members within the room
- Build strong, professional relationships with parents, carers and colleagues
- Ensure the room is safe, clean, organised and welcoming at all times
- Oversee daily routines and ensure smooth running of the room
- Support safeguarding, health & safety, and compliance within the setting
- Contribute to continuous improvement and maintain high standards across the nursery
Requirements:
- Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (essential)
- Previous experience in an early years setting, ideally in a senior or room leader role
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A caring, patient and enthusiastic attitude
- A genuine passion for making a difference in children’s lives
- A willingness to get involved, PLAY, and be on the children’s level!
