About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Health & Social Care Mandatory Training Facilitator to join our team on a freelance/zero-hours basis. This role is ideal for a trainer who enjoys delivering engaging, practical, and compliant training to health and social care staff.
Training sessions will be delivered at various client locations across London and occasionally outside London. As work is provided based on client demand, this is a flexible role with no guaranteed hours. We will contact you when training assignments are available.
Mandatory Training Subjects
The successful candidate should be confident in delivering most or all of the following mandatory training courses:
- Moving and Handling
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Medication Awareness and Administration
- Mental Capacity Act (MCA)
- Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS)
- Adult Safeguarding
- Infection Prevention and Control
- Fire Safety
- Health and Safety
- Food Hygiene
- Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
- Duty of Care
- Communication Skills
- Dementia Awareness
- Any other mandatory health and social care training as required
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, engaging face-to-face mandatory training sessions.
- Adapt training to suit different learning styles and experience levels.
- Ensure all training complies with current UK legislation and best practice.
- Complete attendance registers, assessments, and training records accurately.
- Travel to client sites across London and occasionally outside London.
- Represent the company professionally at all times.
- Keep training knowledge and course content up to date.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 1–2 years' experience delivering Health & Social Care mandatory training.
- Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Strong knowledge of mandatory health and social care training requirements.
- Excellent English communication and presentation skills.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred), or willingness and ability to travel to training venues.
- Willingness to travel across London and outside London when required.
- Reliable, organised, punctual, and professional.
- Right to work in the UK.
Desirable
- Experience delivering practical training such as Moving and Handling and Basic Life Support.
- Experience working within the health and social care sector.
- Additional training or assessor qualifications are an advantage.
Recruitment Process
Shortlisted candidates may be asked to deliver a short training demonstration as part of the interview process. This will allow us to assess your training style, communication skills, learner engagement, and subject knowledge.
Contract
This is a Freelance / Zero-Hours position. There are no guaranteed working hours. Training assignments will be offered based on business demand and trainer availability.
Pay: £18.00-£20.00 per hour
