Pharmacist – Central Edinburgh
We’re an established pharmacy business entering an exciting new phase of growth with the opening of our second Edinburgh branch. As we expand, we’re looking for a motivated Pharmacist to join our existing team and play an important role in our continued success.

The Role:
You’ll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the pharmacy, helping us deliver core NHS services, safe and efficient dispensing, and an exceptional standard of patient care.
You’ll also have the opportunity to broaden your knowledge and clinical expertise across a wide range of private services, with rewards for delivering selected services.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering exceptional, patient-centred care across all pharmacy and clinical services
- Providing a welcoming, professional and consistently high standard of service
- Conducting thorough consultations tailored to each patient’s individual needs
- Offering clear, accurate and practical advice on medicines, treatments and general health
- Ensuring prescriptions are dispensed safely, accurately and efficiently
- Maintaining high standards of professional practice, clinical care and regulatory compliance
- Managing stock effectively, including ordering, rotation and minimising unnecessary waste
- Overseeing the pharmacy dispensary and clinical booking calendar
- Identifying opportunities to improve workflows, service delivery and overall efficiency
- Supporting the development and growth of NHS and private clinical services
- Building strong, trusted relationships with patients and the local community
- Supporting the wider team in achieving its objectives
- Contributing to the continued growth and success of the business
The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will be a GPhC-registered Pharmacist, preferably an Independent Prescriber, who is based in Edinburgh or able to travel reliably to our locations.
You’ll have a positive attitude, a proactive approach and a genuine commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. You’ll also be motivated to develop professionally and build a long-term career within an ambitious, growing community pharmacy business.

- Can deliver clinical services confidently, safely and effectively
- Are comfortable managing the day-to-day operation of a pharmacy dispensary and clinical booking calendar
- Provide clear, accurate and practical advice about medicines and health
- Are confident, organised and able to work under pressure while managing competing priorities
- Are professional, approachable, polite and respectful in your interactions with patients and colleagues
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a close-knit team
- Are keen to progress into a senior position, such as Pharmacy Manager, Superintendent Pharmacist, Clinical Lead or Operational Lead
- Are open to working closely with the company directors to improve patient services, standards and operational efficiency
- Want to contribute ideas and support the continued growth of the pharmacy business
- Can work flexibly and reliably across both Edinburgh locations
Previous community pharmacy, independent prescribing or private clinical services experience would be welcomed but is not essential for the right candidate. Comprehensive training and ongoing support will be provided where required.

Pay: £52,000.00-£66,000.00 per year
