Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Carer to join our dynamic care team. Responsibilities
- Oversee daily care operations within the care home, ensuring high standards of resident well-being and safety
- Supervise and support junior carers, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to promote professional development
- Assist in developing, implementing, and reviewing personalized care plans tailored to each resident’s needs
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and team members to coordinate care and address concerns
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and quality standards at all times
- Maintain accurate documentation using IT systems for care records, incident reports, and care plan updates
- Support residents with daily activities such as mobility, personal hygiene, medication management, and emotional support
Experience
- Proven supervisory or leadership experience within a care home or senior care setting
- Strong understanding of person-centered care principles and experience in developing or managing care plans
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Valid driving license preferred for supporting residents’ outings or appointments
- Familiarity with IT systems used for documentation and record keeping in a healthcare environment
- Demonstrated ability to supervise staff while fostering teamwork and maintaining high standards of care
