Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Pub Manager to oversee daily operations of our wet led pub. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to work independently and lead a team of staff.
This role involves hiring and training staff, ensuring excellent customer experiences, and driving the overall success of the establishment. Previous experience in pub/bar settings with supervising responsibilities is essential. Candidates must have a peronal licence SCPLH qualification.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate all pub activities.
- Manage staff schedules, delegate tasks, and oversee team performance to ensure high standards of service.
- Organise staff cover for any team member who is off ill.
- Oversee licensing compliance
- Noise management during events and with the beer garden and external smoking areas.
- Ensure the bar and cellar areas are well-stocked, clean, and organised at all times
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies to ensure uninterrupted service
- Implement promotional / entertainment activities to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
- Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety policies
- Lead by example in delivering exceptional hospitality experiences
- Proven supervising or team management experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- Familiarity with serving procedures and hospitality industry practices
- Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
- Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanour suitable for guest interaction
- Organise weekly live music events.
- Do weekly change order at local post office.
- Carry out beer line cleaning to maintain high quality product.
The pub is a local community establistment with approx 60% of the sales being draught beers. We have weekly Monday Club live music; a successful darts & doms team, and live sport. We have a large beer garden so can be significantly busier when the weather is good - so this requires flexibility with schedules.
Looking for someone to maintain and then add to the level of business through additional events.
Pay: £30,000.00 per year
