Job Purpose
To effectively plan the movement of the fleet to ensure 100% on-time delivery for customers while maximizing commercial profitability. You act as the central nervous system of the operation—transforming a list of orders into a high-efficiency logistical plan that minimizes empty miles, stays within legal safety limits, and keeps our drivers moving
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily morning check-in calls with drivers to obtain loading statuses, delivery updates, and ETAs.
- Communicate relevant updates to customers in a timely and professional manner.
- Plan and coordinate part-load, multi-drop deliveries nationwide.
- Book delivery appointments with customers and ensure all collection times are communicated clearly.
- Prepare and send daily load schedules to ensure goods are ready for collection.
- Maintain accurate records of loading and delivery times using Excel spreadsheets.
- Handle incoming office phone calls and provide effective resolutions or escalate as required.
- Manage freight forwarding requirements as needed.
- Support weekly customer briefings, delivering updates and performance feedback.
- Assist in planning daily deliveries for owner drivers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with high-profile clients, delivering tailored solutions to meet their service expectations.
- Perform general administrative duties as required.
- Ensure use of the Mandata traffic management system is efficient and up to date.
