Multi-Skilled Tradesperson – Carpentry / Plumbing / Bathrooms & Kitchens
Faire Design & Build – North London
We’re a busy design and build company looking for an experienced, reliable multi-skilled tradesperson to join our team.
We currently have more work coming in than our existing team can cover, so we’re looking for someone who can confidently take responsibility for smaller residential projects and work alongside one of our junior team members.
The ideal person will have strong experience in:
- Carpentry and general joinery
- Plumbing and bathroom fitting
- Kitchen fitting
- General building and refurbishment work
- Basic structural knowledge and understanding of building construction
- First and second fix work
- Problem solving and working around the realities of existing properties
You don’t need to be a specialist in every trade, but you do need to be genuinely multi-skilled, experienced and capable of looking at a job, understanding what needs doing and getting on with it.
A typical project might involve taking on a bathroom or kitchen refurbishment with one of our junior team members, organising the work, carrying out the majority of the trades yourself and coordinating with specialist trades where required.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has substantial hands-on building experience
- Can work independently without constant supervision
- Produces a good standard of finish
- Can supervise and work constructively with a junior team member
- Is organised and communicates well
- Is reliable and turns up when agreed
- Understands the correct sequence of building works
- Takes pride in solving problems properly rather than just finding the quickest fix
- Has their own tools and ideally their own transport
Most of our work is residential refurbishment in and around North London.
We’re happy to consider someone looking for regular subcontract work or potentially something longer term if we’re a good fit for each other.
We are looking to trial suitable people ASAP.
Please apply with a brief description of your experience, the type of projects you normally undertake, your day rate, availability and, if possible, some photos/examples of recent work.
Pay: £130.00-£220.00 per day
Work Location: On the road
