Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. Your enthusiasm for coffee and customer service will enhance the overall experience for our patrons, ensuring they leave with a smile.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including espresso-based drinks, teas, and milkshakes
- Assist with food preparation, ensuring that all items are presented attractively and meet food safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including equipment and utensils.
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and offering recommendations.
- Handle cash transactions efficiently while demonstrating basic maths skills for accurate till management.
- Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations related to food preparation and handling.
Experience
- Must have Previous experience in a café or food service environment;
- A strong understanding of food safety practices is preferred.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- A friendly demeanour with the ability to work well in a team setting while also being self-motivated.
