Within our Campus department we are currently looking for a new Estates Assistant to join us. Working as part of a team our Estates Assistants provide a professional front of house service that ensures all visitors receive a warm and professional welcome to our sites.
You will also work with other University departments to ensure our facilities are accessible, well-maintained and fit for purpose.
As part of Campus Operations you will work in different buildings across our estate. Estates Assistants undertake a broad range of responsibilities including general reception duties, delivering, sorting and collecting of post, checking room bookings and fire compliance testing. You will also complete general manual handling tasks including setting up rooms for meetings or events, removing rubbish where appropriate and ensuring building entrances and steps are clear and tidy.
You will deal with a wide range of enquiries from University staff, students, and members of the public; giving the most efficient and accurate help and advice in a friendly, calm and welcoming manner. Working as the ‘face’ of the University you will provide a positive experience to everyone you encounter.
You have previous experience from within a customer focused environment. You will be a people-person who is positive, helpful and caring.
You will have good IT skills including being comfortable using Outlook, Excel and Word. Alongside your experience you will have strong communication skills with the ability to be polite, welcoming and empathetic to all.

Work pattern: Part time - 16 hours
Shift pattern:
- Term time only (Sept - May)
- Saturday 07:30 - 16:30
- Sunday 09:30 - 16:30

Salary: £23,742 - £24,685 per annum pro rata
