Part-Time Kennel Hand
Location: Nantwich
Hours: Part-time, working on a rota across 7 days
We have an opportunity to join the team at our rescue centre in Nantwich as a Part-Time Kennel Hand.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about dog welfare, reliable, enthusiastic and has a strong work ethic. Previous experience within a kennel, rescue, animal care or similar environment would be beneficial.
A full UK driving licence and access to your own transport are essential for this role.
As a Kennel Hand, you will be involved in all aspects of the day-to-day care and welfare of our dogs. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Cleaning and maintaining kennels to a high standard
- Feeding and exercising dogs
- Providing enrichment and spending time with the dogs
- Supporting training and ongoing development where required
- Organising and managing donated items
- Assisting with fundraising activities
- Supporting the general day-to-day running of the kennels
This is a hands-on and physically active role. Applicants should be confident working with dogs of different sizes, breeds, backgrounds & temperaments and be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
