Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8.30am - 5.00pm
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and practical Trainee Workshop Technician to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or develop a career in engineering or equipment maintenance, with full training and qualifications provided.
You will support experienced technicians in servicing, inspecting and repairing commercial equipment in a busy workshop environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assist with maintenance, repair and inspection of equipment including: Soft ice cream and milkshake machines, Ice machines and refrigeration units, High-speed cooking equipment, Coffee machines;
- Support Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) for new machines;
- Help diagnose faults and carry out repairs (training provided);
- Clean, refurbish and prepare equipment for use;
- Update job records and maintain accurate documentation;
- Work closely with Warehouse, Sales and Service teams;
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment;
- Identify and request spare parts when required;
- Undertake other duties as needed to support the business.
Training & Development
We provide full training and support, including opportunities to gain recognised qualifications:
- Electrical competency certification
- F-Gas qualification
- Brazing certification
- Forklift truck licence
Some training may require travel and occasional overnight stays (fully funded).

We’re looking for someone who is:
- Keen to learn and develop technical skills
- Interested in mechanical or electrical work
- Able to follow instructions and work independently when required
- A team player with a positive, proactive attitude
- Comfortable using basic IT systems
- Reliable and able to attend work consistently
Physical Requirements
This role involves standing for extended periods and handling equipment. Mechanical aids are available where appropriate, and reasonable adjustments will be considered.
