Overview
We are seeking a motivated and analytical Business Analyst to support business growth and operational improvement within our retail and service operations. The successful candidate will analyse business performance, customer trends, sales data, operational processes, and market information to identify opportunities for improvement and support strategic decision-making. Working closely with senior management, the role will involve conducting research, preparing business reports, evaluating current processes, developing recommendations, supporting growth strategies, analysing financial and commercial information, and assisting with improvements across retail operations, customer engagement, supplier relationships, and business efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, knowledge of business strategy, research methods, digital business environments, marketing, and commercial development, supported by a degree in business, management, or a related discipline.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse business performance, sales trends, customer behaviour, and operational data to identify improvement opportunities.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to support business growth strategies.
- Review existing business processes and recommend solutions to improve efficiency and profitability.
- Prepare detailed reports, forecasts, and presentations for senior management.
- Analyse financial and commercial information to support strategic planning and decision-making.
- Support the development and implementation of business improvement plans.
- Evaluate customer trends and recommend strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
- Assist with digital tools and reporting systems to improve business monitoring.
- Review stock performance, supplier relationships, and operational processes within retail activities.
- Work with different departments to implement recommendations and achieve business objectives.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights to management.
- Skills & Experience Required
- Degree or Master's qualification in Business, International Business, Management, Finance, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of business strategy, market research, and commercial analysis.
- Ability to analyse data and prepare clear business reports.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Knowledge of retail operations, customer behaviour, and business improvement practices.
- Ability to work independently and provide evidence-based recommendations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst or similar role with a strong understanding of business analysis methodologies
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets effectively
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and reporting
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment
