Summary
We are seeking a passionate and caring individual for the role of Enhanced Staffing 1:1 - Term Time in our nursery in West Wickham.
Working Wednesday, Thursday and Friday , 9:30am-2:30pm.
This position plays a vital role in ensuring personalized support for children with special needs, aligning with our mission to foster inclusive learning environments.
The position is on a self employed basis, whereby you would have a timesheet to fill out just before payday (on the 22nd of each month).
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one support to a child with autism and disabilities during school hours.
- Implement tailored educational activities to meet each child's individual needs.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and specialists to develop and follow personalized care plans.
- Assist in creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all children.
- Support children's social and emotional development through engaging interactions.
- Monitor and document children's progress and behavior, reporting any concerns to relevant staff.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while adhering to all childcare policies and procedures.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children, especially those with special needs or disabilities.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members.
- Knowledge of autism spectrum disorders and inclusive teaching strategies.
- Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to childcare.
- Relevant qualifications in childcare or special education are preferred.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Previous experience in toddler care is advantageous.This role is term time only - however the successful candidate must be available to work during the summer holidays this year.
The role is until August 2027.
Pay: £12.71 per hour
