Electrical Project Manager - London - Commercial Project
We are seeking an Electrical Project Manager to join a major Commercial Project in London. This is an opportunity to play a key role on a high-profile site, leading the delivery of complex electrical packages and helping drive project excellence from start to completion.
The Role
The Electrical Project Manager will lead the delivery of electrical packages throughout the project lifecycle, coordinating design, procurement, installation, commissioning, and handover activities while ensuring Dornan's vision, mission, and values are delivered throughout the project.
Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate electrical project activities from design through to commissioning and handover.
Manage the delivery of electrical packages, ensuring scope, programme, budget, and quality requirements are achieved.
Review electrical designs, drawings, specifications, and technical submissions to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
Oversee procurement activities, including subcontractor, supplier, and equipment management.
Monitor project progress and implement mitigation measures to address risks, delays, and technical challenges.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal project teams to ensure successful delivery.
Manage interfaces between electrical systems and other MEP disciplines.
Promote and maintain high Health & Safety standards across all project activities.
Support testing, commissioning, project close-out, and handover activities.
Lead and develop electrical engineering and site management teams.
Drive project best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
Act as the primary point of contact for electrical project delivery matters.
About You
Your Experience
Strong project management experience delivering electrical packages on large-scale construction projects.
Strong technical understanding of electrical systems and installations.
Good commercial awareness and understanding of project controls.
Experience coordinating electrical services with other MEP disciplines.
Understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
Your Qualifications
Previous experience working within the construction industry.
Previous experience working in an Electrical Project Manager or similar role.
Relevant electrical, engineering, or construction qualification is desirable.
