About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Commercial & Marketing Manager to lead our marketing, business development and client acquisition activities across the UK and international exhibition markets.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing key corporate client relationships and supporting the continued growth of the company’s bespoke exhibition stand design and delivery services.
This position requires a strong understanding of commercial strategy, client relationship management, marketing and contract negotiation. The role will involve close collaboration with the company’s design, production and logistics teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the company’s marketing and business development strategy across UK and international exhibition markets.
- Identify, approach and acquire new corporate clients requiring bespoke exhibition stand design and delivery services.
- Manage relationships with key accounts and act as the principal commercial contact throughout each project.
- Prepare commercial proposals, quotations and client presentations.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing and payment terms in line with agreed revenue and profit margin targets.
- Conduct market and competitor research to identify upcoming trade shows, sector developments and new revenue opportunities.
- Plan and coordinate the company’s promotional activities and presence at relevant industry events.
- Cross-sell complementary services, including exhibition stand storage, refurbishment and logistics, to existing clients.
- Monitor the sales pipeline, revenue performance and client retention levels.
- Prepare regular commercial performance reports for the Director.
- Liaise with design and production teams to ensure client requirements are aligned with operational capacity, budgets and project deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records of client communications, proposals, contracts and business development activities.
- Support the development of long-term commercial partnerships within the exhibition and events industry.
Candidate Requirements (Not Mandatory)
- Previous experience in commercial management, marketing, business development or account management.
- Experience within the exhibitions, events, design, construction, manufacturing or related sectors would be advantageous.
- Strong client acquisition and relationship management skills.
- Proven ability to prepare proposals, quotations and commercial presentations.
- Experience negotiating contracts, pricing and payment terms.
- Strong understanding of sales pipelines, revenue targets and commercial performance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational and project coordination abilities.
- Ability to work effectively with design, production and operational teams.
- Willingness to attend industry events and travel within the UK or internationally when required.

Pay: £52,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
