A vacancy has arisen fora Civil Project Engineer at PD Ports within the Project Engineering Department. This is a unique opportunity to work client side and be involved in projects at all stages; from concept and feasibility, through design, procurement and construction, and then operation of the final scheme. You will work in a multidiscipline team which execute a variety of projects including port and marine infrastructure, buildings, highways, drainage and rail.

Working Arrangements: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
The five main things our Civil Project Engineer will be working on are:
· Managing a range of civil engineering projects from inception to completion ensuring compliance with HS&E, quality, cost and timescale targets and supporting the wider team in delivery of large multidisciplinary projects.
· Develop project concepts, define requirements, and produce cost estimates, programmes, technical drawings, and reports.
· Procure and manage design consultants, site investigations, topographical and ecological surveys.
· Prepare tender and contract documentation, evaluate submissions and negotiate with preferred contractors.
· Manage construction contractors through project execution including contract administration, HS&E compliance, quality control and liaison with key stakeholders including the Harbour Master and Operations.
We are seeking someone who:
· Is recently chartered or working toward chartership with the ICE or the IStructE and is degree qualified in Civil Engineering (or similar) at Bachelors or Masters level.
· Experience working for a consultant, contractor or client delivering complex multidisciplinary civil engineering projects.
· Strong project management and communication skills with a high level of problem-solving ability for technical issues.
· Highly detail-oriented, with the ability to identify cross-functional synergies, optimise processes, and drive continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.
· The role will require travel to various sites and facilities across the country and the candidate must hold a valid UK driving licence.
