Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our very busy, friendly dental practice and become part of our team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to dentists during patient treatments, ensure the smooth operation of the clinic, and deliver excellent patient care. Duties
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials prior to appointments.
- Sterilise and maintain dental equipment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Provide patients with pre- and post-treatment instructions, ensuring they understand care procedures.
- Record detailed patient information accurately using IT systems.
- Support patients through empathetic communication, addressing concerns and questions professionally.
- Maintain high standards of infection control and hygiene throughout the practice.
- Assist with administrative tasks as required to ensure the smooth running of the clinic.
Skills
- Proven experience in patient care within a dental or healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Good IT skills, including familiarity with dental practice management software.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Compassionate approach towards patients, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
