Duties
- Coordinate all aspects of event planning, including venue selection, catering arrangements, décor, and entertainment
- Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and provide tailored event solutions
- Manage timelines and budgets effectively to ensure successful event delivery
- Upsell additional services or products to maximise revenue opportunities
- Oversee the setup and breakdown of events, ensuring all elements are executed to high standards
- Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to facilitate smooth operations
- Ensure guest services are prioritised, addressing any issues promptly and professionally
- Maintain detailed organisational records of event plans, contracts, and correspondence
- Assist with fundraising initiatives where applicable, promoting community engagement and support
Skills
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong time management skills to meet deadlines efficiently
- Exceptional communication skills for liaising with clients, vendors, and team members
- Previous experience in hospitality, hotel management, or restaurant environments is advantageous
- Proven ability in upselling services or products to enhance client satisfaction and revenue
- Experience in guest services or customer relations within a hospitality setting is desirable
- Ability to work well under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail
- Fundraising experience is a plus for roles involving community or charity events
