We are seeking an experienced and motivated Groundworks Supervisor to join our growing construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily groundworks operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

About the role
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual with strong leadership skills and a solid background in civil engineering and groundworks.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate groundworks teams on-site.
- Ensure all works are carried out safely and in line with company procedures.
- Monitor productivity, quality, and programme targets.
- Coordinate labour, plant, materials, and subcontractors.
- Conduct site inspections and toolbox talks.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and company policies.
- Liaise with Site Managers, Project Managers, clients, and suppliers.
- Maintain accurate site records and reports.
- Identify and resolve site issues promptly to minimise delays.
- Ensure work is completed to specification and within agreed timescales.
Essential requirements
- Proven experience in a Groundworks Supervisor or Foreman role.
- Strong knowledge of groundworks, drainage, foundations, roads, and external works.
- SSSTS or SMSTS qualification.
- CSCS Supervisor or Manager card.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
- Full UK driving licence.
- NRSWA supervisors card
Desirable qualifications & experience
- First Aid at Work qualification.
- Temporary Works Supervisor certification.
- CPCS or NPORS plant tickets.
- Experience working on residential or commercial developments.
