The Role
Key Responsibilities
· Lead and supervise day-to-day pharmacy operations
· Deliver high-quality clinical services (e.g., hypertension case-finding, NMS, flu vaccines)
· Ensure full compliance with Company, GPhC, NHS, and local service standards
· Motivate and manage a small pharmacy team to maximise productivity and customer satisfaction
· Drive service uptake and explore new income streams (e.g., private PGDs, travel health, weight loss, etc.)
· Manage stock, purchase optimisation, dispensary workflow, and reduce wastage
· Build relationships with local GPs, PCNs, and other healthcare stakeholders
Requirements
· Qualified pharmacist with GPhC registration (essential)
· Minimum 2 years’ experience in management in community pharmacy
· Proven experience in a community and clinical experience
· Strong leadership, people management, and mentoring skills
· Commercial awareness of KPI’s and ability to grow business and services
· Experience with PMR systems (e.g., Analyst, Pharm-Outcomes)
Desirable Skills
· Independent Prescribing qualification (or working towards)
· Previous experience in a managerial or superintendent role
· Knowledge of local health economies and PCN engagement
