Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting the smooth operation of our logistics and distribution processes.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vans, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Deliver as well as collecting goods to clients and customers in a timely manner across designated routes
- Load and unload items, often requiring heavy lifting and manual handling
- Ensure accurate documentation of deliveries and collection of signatures or proof of delivery
- Maintain the cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle
- Communicate effectively with store teams and customers regarding delivery schedules or issues
- Report any vehicle or delivery problems promptly to management
Requirements
- OVER THE AGE OF 23 IDEALY FOR OUR INSURANCE
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role within logistics or warehouse environments is desirable
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Experience with commercial driving vehicles such as vans or lorries
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when required, demonstrating physical fitness and stamina
- DBS CHECK NEED
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members
- Good organisational skills to manage routes efficiently and adhere to schedules
- Prior experience in warehouse operations is advantageous but not essential
- A responsible attitude towards safety protocols and traffic regulations
- Time management, punctuality a must
