Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operational performance. Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment to identify faults or potential issues
- Perform repairs, replacements, and preventative maintenance on mechanical systems
- Troubleshoot mechanical problems using diagnostic tools and technical knowledge
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs undertaken
- Assist in the installation of new machinery and equipment as required
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies
- Collaborate with other team members to optimise maintenance procedures and minimise downtime
Experience
- Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar technical role, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical components
- Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics effectively
- Experience with diagnostic tools and repair equipment is highly desirable
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent are advantageous
