Job Summary - Private client paralegal/legal secretary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support in legal research, document preparation, case management, and administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our legal processes. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive legal research using various resources, including online databases and law libraries, to support case preparation.
- Draft, review, and organize legal documents such as pleadings, affidavits, contracts, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
- Assist in managing case files by maintaining accurate records of pleadings, discovery materials, and correspondence.
- Coordinate communication between clients, courts, and external agencies to facilitate case progress.
- Prepare summaries of case facts and relevant laws to assist attorneys in case strategy development.
- Schedule appointments, court dates, and meetings while managing calendars efficiently.
- Support attorneys during trial preparations by organizing exhibits, evidence logs, and other materials.
- Ensure compliance with legal procedures and deadlines through effective time management.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant in a professional law environment with PRIVATE CLIENT
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and specialized legal research tools.
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while adhering to strict deadlines.
- Fluency in English with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Basic IT skills for document management systems and electronic filing platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
