Job Overview
What you’ll do
- Studio-style photography of antiques, art, jewellery & objects (RAW + JPEG).
- Set up lights, control reflections, capture scale/inscriptions; shoot 360/short clips when needed.
- Fast post-production in Lightroom/Photoshop (colour true-to-life, clean backgrounds, straight lines).
- Rename files to lot numbers and upload to our folder structure.
- Basic cataloguing: measurements, concise appearance-focused descriptions, condition notes.
- Create simple social content (reels/shorts) from your shoots.
- Safe handling, packing help, and occasional front-of-house support on viewing/auction days.
You are
- Strong with product/artefact photography (portfolio required).
- Fluent in Lightroom + Photoshop and efficient with batch workflows.
- Meticulous with details, file naming, and colour accuracy.
- Comfortable lifting/handling fragile/heavy items (with training).
- Calm under time pressure; reliable and punctual.
- Right to work in the UK.
Nice to have
- Experience with auction platforms.
- Macro/tilt-shift know-how; tethered capture; colour-managed workflow.
- Basic video editing (Premiere/CapCut) and Canva/InDesign for simple assets.
- Interest in art/antiques; ability to read/record visible inscriptions.
Equipment
We have continuous lights/backdrops; bringing your own camera/lenses is a plus (full-frame + macro).
