We are looking for a passionate and reliable Cook to join our friendly care home team. In this role, you will enjoy a fantastic work-life balance with set daytime hours while making a real difference in the daily lives of our residents.
- Hours: Part-time (2 to 3 days per week)
- Schedule: 8:00 AM – 6:20 PM (No late evenings!)
What You Will Be Doing: As a vital part of our home, you will ensure our residents look forward to every meal. Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Creating Joy Through Food: Preparing light, appetizing lunches (such as sandwiches) and cooking nutritious, comforting dinners based on established menus.
- Kitchen Management: Handling basic food ordering, safe storage, and efficient stock rotation.
- Maintaining Excellence: Keeping accurate records for cleaning schedules, temperature probing, and fridge checks to ensure a pristine and safe kitchen environment.
What We Are Looking For:
- Previous experience working in a commercial kitchen is highly preferred.
- An understanding of dietary requirements and food safety is great to have, but full training will be provided to the right candidate.
- A friendly, reliable team player who takes pride in delivering excellent food and creating a warm atmosphere for our residents.
